On the first week of 'An Oriental Odyssey' on GMA FantaSeries, we get a glimpse of how Yuan, Mu Le, and Lan Zhi met.
As the historical Chinese fantasy drama An Oriental Odyssey starts on GMA FantaSeries, we are gifted an essential flashback and the official meet-up of Yuan, Mu Le, and Lan Zhi during the first week.
At the dock Lan Zhi halts a trader he finds suspicious. As he continues his investigation, Lan Zhi discovers the trader to be smuggling opium and orders his guards to arrest them. On the same boat is Mu Le who forcefully became the servant of the mastermind behind the trade.
Lan Zhi and Mu Le fight each other. Lan Zhi is surprised by the impeccable strength of Mu Le and questions how he became so strong like that. While they are in their fight, Mu Le escapes as Lan Zhi faces the mastermind. They all escape and Lan Zhi continues his hunt for Mu Le.
On the other hand, Yuan is enjoying her morning ride and stroll with her horse around the market. She encounters Mu Le in chains and hungry. Yuan offers him food but Mu Le's current owner stops her. Yuan defends Mu Le from his abusive boss and the latter is shocked.
While they bicker, her horse frantically runs off. Yuan runs after it and tries to stop the horse. Mu Le follows her to save Yuan and halt the animal. Lan Zhi witnesses everything and catches Yuan who got kicked off her horse. Making it an eventful meeting for the three protagonists.
