During the seventh week of 'An Oriental Odyssey,' Yuan An falls for Ming Hui's tricks forcing Lan Zhi into an inescapable trap.
As the historical fantasy Chinese drama An Oriental Odyssey continues on GMA FantaSeries, Zhao Lanzhi and Mu Le do everything in their power to save the love of their life, Yuan An.
Jealous of Zhao Lanzhi's affection for Yuan An, Ming Hui poisons Yuan An and puts Lanzhi into a tormenting trap. Lanzhi, concerned about Yuan An whose senses are slowly faltering, begs Ming Hui for the antidote.
Ming Hui, adamant to give it, tells Lanzhi that he can only get it if he decides to marry her. In the middle of their conversation, Mu Le attacks Ming Hui to get the antidote. Ming Hui reveals that Lanzhi is a dumb guy who's in love with a girl that's falling for another person because Yuan An searched for Mu Le in her sleep.
Lanzhi walks away and checks in on Yuan An's condition. Master Ye tells him that she's getting worse by the minute. He begs Master Ye to give him a bit of time with Yuan An to share his affections privately.
He reminisces about their time together and expresses his genuine love for her. In the end, Lanzhi apologizes to Yuan An for what he is about to do.
