Andi Eigenmann

Andi shared how she has been loving and learning from her surfing journey, so far.

Andi Eigenmann reflected on her current surfing journey and she shared some valuable life lessons that came along with it.

In an Instagram post, Andi shared how she first had a mindset that she was "too old" for surfing before she immersed herself in the sport.

"Especially since being a mom of 3, [I] thought it didn't feel right to only be learning something new for the first time. It probably would've been impossible to get good this late anyway," she said.

But Andi highlighted how lucky she is to be in an encouraging environment and to have supportive peers around her. She also thanked her fiance and champion surfer Philmar Alipayo for always inspiring her.

"Luckily, I am now in an environment where I don't need to fear being judged, no need to worry about being good enough for others or fitting their standard of what they believe is right and pleasing to them," she mused.

She continued, "Even luckier to have a coach, that pushes me to try. Thanks @chepoxz for the push and inspiring all of us to believe in our capabilities and aim big! I am happy to learn as my kids do."

Andi also underscored how nobody is ever too old to learn something new.

"Just as our kids are never too young to aim for greatness, we should never be too old to learn. Not just new hobbies, but life learnings too," she said.

Before ending her lengthy caption, Andi expressed how "stoked" she is to be where she is now.

"I know I still have a lot to improve on, been loving the journey, not worrying about how long it would take to get there. I like to set realistic goals that progress as I do," Andi added.

Last year, Andi and Philmar established their own surf club, the Happy Islanders Surf Club.
