Cherie Gil and Andi Eigenmann

Andi Eigenmann to Cherie Gil: “Thank you for always being there for me.”

Actress, influencer, and businesswoman Andi Eigenmann paid tribute to one of the amazing women in her life -- the brilliant actress Cherie Gil.

Cherie passed away in August 2022. She was receiving treatment in New York City, after getting diagnosed with a rare form of endometrial cancer in October 2021.

Andi posted a throwback photo with the multi-awarded actress on her Instagram Story in March 2017 and then wrote in the caption, “Remembering you in my life's little moments always, remembering you more today on your birthday.”

She added, “I love you always, Tita Cherie. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Meanwhile, Raphael Rogoff, Cherie's son, penned a wonderful birthday message last year to mark the 60th birthday of his beloved mother.

In a lengthy post, Raphael thanked his mom for being a “great teacher.”

“For a while life has felt grim, but I think of you and you give my frown a spin. We were always laughing. We still are. I carry you with me always, near or far, in my heart.

“Thank you for teaching me how to live, Momma! Happiest of birthdays I'm sure it's a party wherever you are right now; cause you always knew how to dance to the music of life :) I'm still learning from you.

The family of Andi is still reeling from the sudden death of her mom, internationally acclaimed actress Jaclyn Jose on March 2 due to a heart attack. Andi is Jaclyn's daughter with the late actor Mark Gil, who lost his battle with liver cancer in 2014.
