Content creator and actress Andi Eigenmann recently took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about her cherished childhood moments.
On Instagram, Andi shared a treasured family photo featuring her with her late parents, award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose and veteran actor Mark Gil. The photo captured a young Andi enjoying a beach day with her parents. Looking at the photo, the businesswoman remembered their shared core memory of fun and familial love.
The influencer captioned the post with nostalgia and affection, "A beach gurl since kopong kopong."
She also added an emotional note, "Alternate caption: dont have much of these so to me, it's gold."
The post garnered a wave of reactions from her followers, including Sexbomb Girls' Sugar Mercado. Fans and friends expressed a mix of admiration for the adorable family snapshot and empathy for Andi's longing for her late parents.
In recent months, Andi has frequently found herself reflecting on her parents and her late aunt, Cherie Gil. These moments of remembrance have surfaced during significant family events and intimate moments.
While preparing for her daughter Lilo's birthday party last month, Andi was struck by memories of her mother's dedication to her birthday celebrations. She recalled how Jaclyn Jose insisted on being hands-on, even for small, intimate family gatherings. Reflecting on these memories, Andi realized the depth of her mother's love and support.
Last June, Andi marked what would have been her aunt Cherie Gil's 61st birthday. To honor the occasion, she shared a nostalgic photo of Cherie, accompanied by a heartfelt message expressing her enduring love and how deeply she missed her aunt.
Besides sharing photos and posts on social media, Andi also opened up about her heartfelt story involving her mother, Jaclyn Jose, in the limited talk series My Mother, My Story.
In the program, Andi expressed her deep sorrow over losing her loved ones one by one and reflected on the guilt she felt for not spending more time with them.
"My dad is not around, and now my mom, and tita Cherie (Gil). So parang ang hirap sa akin isipin iyon kasi ito yung mga importanteng tao sa buhay ko, unti-unti na silang nawawala. Tapos akala ko nandiyan lang sila. Akala ko may oras," she tearfully shared.
