Andre and Kobe Paras

“Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle,” says Kobe Paras on Instagram.

Brothers and basketball players Andre and Kobe Paras ask netizens to “be kind” on social media as the two share their sentiments on their respective accounts.

On April 20, the Game of the Gens host tweeted about how bashers these days play “tough” because they hide behind private or fake accounts.

“These days, the haters are tough because they are behind the keyboard using their fake and private accounts,” he said.

He also posted a cryptic post on his Instagram account about how he wishes people were kinder on the internet, for everyone is fighting their own battle. However, this post has since been deleted by the actor-athlete.

The same sentiment was shared by his younger brother, Kobe, who took a screenshot of his past tweet after moving to the Philippines.

Kobe wrote back then, “When I moved back to the Philippines [four] years ago, I was at my lowest. I was depressed, suicidal. I just felt so lost. Until now, there are days I don't feel like me.

“Whatever you're going through, find a purpose and stick to it. It's not easy at all. Only you can save yourself.”

The professional basketball player added, “Be kind; Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

“I am not posting this for pity, but to show [you all] I'm human, and we all go through sh*t in life.”

Andre Paras and Kobe Paras are currently pursuing their basketball dreams by formalizing their exclusive contracts on their respective teams.

Game of the Gens co-host Andre Paras made his entry to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) by signing a two-year, P3 million contract with Blackwater. He was drafted by the team last March 14 and was picked in the third round besting 86 players who are hoping to make it to the big leagues.

Meanwhile, Kobe Paras left the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons to train in the United States under the guidance of the East West Private in Cincinnati, Ohio.
