Actress Andrea Brillantes misses the Rekonek's red carpet premiere due to sudden confinement.

Health comes first for Rekonek star Andrea Brillantes, who missed the star-studded premiere of their film on December 17 following a sudden admission to the hospital.

Andrea, who has been heavily promoting the film alongside actors like Gerald Anderson, Bela Padilla, Carmina Villaroel, Gloria Diaz, and Charlie Dizon, was reportedly confined during the day of their red carpet premiere.

She took to TikTok to inform fans that an emergency hospital admission prevented her from attending the premiere of her first Metro Manla Film Festival (MMFF) movie. She left the reason for her confinement undisclosed, leaving fans concerned for her wellbeing.

“POV: dapat nasa premiere ka ng first MMFF movie mo kaso,” written in Andrea's video.

She also put a text on her video calling all her fans and the public to watch their film entry: “Rekonek this Dec 25 po pls watch.”

This hospitalization marks the second health scare for the 22-year-old star in recent months. In November 2025, during her launch as a 2026 calendar girl, Andrea revealed she had been hospitalized for COVID-19 just a month prior.

The premiere for Rekonek, held at Quzon City, proceeded with the rest of the ensemble cast, including Gerald Anderson, Gloria Diaz, Bela Padilla, Charlie Dizon, Kelvin Miranda, Angel Guardian, and the Legaspi family.

The film, which centers on an internet outage and the struggle for human connection, is one of the most anticipated entries for the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival.
