A special production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Cats' musical is streaming this weekend on YouTube.

As lockdown continues worldwide, different institutions from the film and theater industry have been providing film versions of stage shows to entertain audiences at home. Deseret News reports that renowned composer Andrew Lloyd Webber is offering free broadcasts of his greatest musicals including the 1998 production of Cats. The musical will stream for free for 48 hours from May 15 on The Shows Must Go On official YouTube channel.

The channel has also streamed other musicals such as By Jeeves!, The Phantom of the Opera, the Phantom sequel Love Never Dies, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Proceeds from the streaming will go to The Actors Fund, Acting for Others, Broadway Cares and Actors Benevolent Fund, and other organizations helping people from the theater community amid lockdowns from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Webber is keeping in touch with his fans through social media while in self-isolation and has performed songs from his musicals on a piano in his home.

Recently, Webber gave a snippet of a Cats performance when he played “Skimbleshanks: The Railway Cat”
