The wife of Gary Valenciano for more than 33 years, Angeli Valenciano, has posted on social media a medical update on Mr. Pure Energy.

The multi-awarded and beloved OPM singer revealed that he had undergone an emergency open heart surgery last weekend.
In a tweet, Angeli assured the fans of her husband that he is doing well after the operation. She was even surprised by how Gary is defying diabetes statistics. She also posted some photos of her family at the hospital.
I want to reassure every1 that Gary is amazingly okay defying diabetes statistics. Only 1 vessel was blocked~ the main left coronary artery but every other blood vessel was healthy after 39 years of diabetes.
