Back in 2023, Angelica revealed publicly that she had been diagnosed with avascular necrosis.
According to Mayo Clinic, avascular necrosis is the death of bone tissue caused by a lack of blood supply. Also called osteonecrosis, the condition can lead to tiny fractures in the bone and eventually cause the bone to collapse. The process may take months or even years.
Angelica first shared with Alyssa the changes she noticed in her body after pregnancy.
Eh ako, hindi naman talaga ako ganu'n,” she said.
The wife of Greg Homan then recalled the three surgeries she underwent in 2025 because of the rare disease that affected her hip.
Reflecting on those medical procedures, Angelica said: “Parang since hindi rin naman sikreto sa mga tao na tatlong surgeries 'yung pinagdaanan ko last year, so parang doon ako na-surprise kung ano 'yung kayang gawin ng katawan lalo na ng isang babae.”
“Nakabuo ka ng isang buhay dun, tapos dinudugtungan niya 'yung quality of life mo dahil nga na-hip replacement ako.”
After surviving her health ordeal, Angelica said she now has a more positive and appreciative view of her body.
