Newly engaged couple Anjo Pertierra and Eunice Jorge still feel overwhelmed with joy after their surprise engagement.

During their guesting on Unang Hirit, the lovebirds looked back on the unforgettable proposal that happened during Eunice's birthday celebration.

For the Gracenote vocalist, the moment was pure surprise and overflowing with love.

"Akala ko kakanta siya tapos magbibigay ng special message," Eunice recalled. "Tapos nagulat ako na pinapaakyat niya ako. Sabi ko, 'Bakit?' bumaba na ko after performance then ayun."

As Anjo began telling the story of their relationship, Eunice quickly realized this wasn't just another birthday moment.

"Kinakabahan ako kasi parang hindi na siya about sa birthday. Parang nagkukwento na siya kung paano kami nagkakilala ta's 'yun super bilis ng pangyayari," the vocalist added.

Meanwhile, Anjo shared that he had been praying for the right time and felt that everything aligned perfectly on that night.

"Matagal ko na siyang pinagdarasal na I'm looking for that perfect moment for that right timing. 'Yung nalaman ko na magkaka-birthday salubong sila for her. Sabi ko, 'Lord this is it. Guide me, let me utter the words correctly,'" he said.

He described the moment as feeling they were the only two people in the world, even dreamy as the spotlight was focused on Eunice.

"She's my peace in this world full of problems, toxicness, chaos," Anjo sweetly said.

"Sinasabi ko sa kanya dati pa na even though 'yung sa work natin, stressful minsan, meron problema, meron downtimes, parang siya 'yung naging base nung strength at tsaka peace na hinahanap ko."

As for Eunice, it didn't take long for her to know Anjo was the one.

"Sobrang nakaka-overwhelm kasi 'yung moment na 'yun e. Pero even before palang siyang mag-ask, I knew already he's the one," she shyly admitted.

Looking ahead, the couple shared that they're starting to make plans for their wedding next year. For now, they're taking it one step at a time.

"Actually napag-usapan namin kasi kahapon usap natin dito lahat tungkol sa kasal. So naglista muna kami ng mga ninong at ninang muna," Anjo playfully said.

Anjo and Eunice announced their engagement on Instagram last July 1.

They first met during a segment on Unang Hirit, where Gracenote performed live with Anjo and Shuvee Etrata hosting.
