Throughout the preview, viewers hear a poignant line from Jericho's character Eric: “Dahil ako ang mas nagmahal, ako ang laging naghihintay.” The trailer traces Eric and Ellie's story from their first encounter to the heartbreaking point where their relationship begins to unravel.

The video also teases how the former lovers cross paths again ten years after their separation.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their reactions to the trailer. "So good!! Missed them both on screen. Siyempre si Catriona Gray lang ang may karapatang maging karibal ng isang Anne Curtis HAHAHA," pertaining to Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray who is making her film debut in The Loved One.

According to its official logline published on smcinema.com, The Loved One follows former lovers Ellie and Eric as they reconnect a decade later, revisiting memories of a love, and a pain, that never truly faded.

The film also marks Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales's first big-screen collaboration since the 2008 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Baler, making their on-screen reunion especially meaningful for longtime fans.

The Loved One is helmed by director Irene Villamor and is scheduled to hit cinemas on February 11.
