Kapuso artist Anthony Rosaldo had several unforgettable experiences during his stay in the USA.
One of the highlights was an exclusive voice lesson in New York with Broadway star Joseph London. He is known for his roles in musicals like Chicago, Cats, Avenue Q, and Sweeney Todd. He also runs a voice studio in New York where Anthony had the chance to take a one-on-one class.
In his latest vlog, the Sparkle star couldn't contain his excitement about studying with one of his theater idols. He expressed how honored he felt, especially as a fan and a newcomer to theater.
The video later captured much of his time with Joseph, including their engaging conversation and the class studio visit. During their session, Joseph professionally assessed Anthony's current skills, starting with fundamental aspects like breathing techniques. Enthusiastic about learning, Anthony followed Joseph's guidance, engaging in various vocal warm-ups. By the end of the session, Anthony's singing had improved significantly, showing increased stamina and stability suitable for theater performances.
In a brief interview, Joseph praised Anthony's potential as a theater star and singer, "You have such a beautiful voice and then like the technique is already there. So just fine-tuning these little things on what's gonna, you know, into the next level. You're so talented and I think it's exciting..."
Anthony shared his desire to further develop his skills in theater. Although he acknowledged he was a bit late entering the industry, he remains ambitious about future projects and growth. Joseph encouraged him with the words, "Anything is possible," and expressed eagerness to witness Anthony's progress. He advised Anthony to continue practicing and taking classes, highlighting his potential for Broadway.
Joseph then said "Anything is possible" and he expressed excitement to see Anthony's growth in the future. He also left a tip to the Sparkle star to continue to practice and take classes as he has what it takes to be on Broadway.
Concluding the video, Anthony expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to learn from Joseph. "Grabe sobrang dami kong natutunan sa kaniya as in. Iba 'yung mga technique niya na nakuha ko from him, syempre iba 'yung experience kasi he's a Broadway star, napakagaling niya sa Chicago," he said.
Anthony also encouraged viewers to consider enrolling in Joseph's vocal Zoom classes and promised to apply what he learned in his future performances.
