Kapuso Pop Rocker Anthony Rosaldo penned a lengthy message as he closed a chapter in his life after portraying the role of Roger in 9Works Theatrical's Rent.
Rent closed on June 2 after 35 shows. The shows were held at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at RCBC Plaza in Makati City.
"Sabi nga nila, no matter how much you like that book you will get to the last page and it will end," he wrote on Instagram.
"Paalam Roger! Moody ka man, madaming bagahe at problemado, you are a man of passion and kindness.
"Thank you for igniting my heart's desire to reach for that one glory! I am saying goodbye to you with a full heart and a charged dream!"
Rent was Anthony's second stint in theater after portraying young Hector in Ang Huling El Bimbo in 2023.
"Theatre is such a fun place. A safe space for everyone to explore, learn and be creative. My take home [from] this prod? Heart, gratitude and RESPECT. See you all in the next one!"
Rent is based on the work of Jonathan Larson which tells the story of young artists struggling to survive in Lower Manhattan's East Village under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.
Also part of Rent were Anthony's fellow Kapuso singers Thea Astley and Garrett Bolden.
