Anthony is nominated for Revival Recording of the Year for his version of "Maghintay Ka Lamang."
Kapuso Pop Rocker Anthony Rosaldo admitted that he did not expect to be nominated at the 12th Star Awards for Music because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anthony is nominated for Revival Recording of the Year award for his version of "Maghintay Ka Lamang," released under GMA Music in 2019.
In a message sent to GMANetwork.com, Anthony said, "Bilang pandemya ngayon, wala akong ini-expect na ganitong klase ng surprise dahil lahat tayo ay focused sa pagsisiguro na safe tayong lahat at walang sakit."
"Kaya sobrang happy ko muli na kinilala ng PMPC ang efforts namin."
PMPC, or the Philippine Movie Press Club, is the organization behind the annual Star Awards for Movies, for Television, and for Music.
Anthony added, "Napakagandang awitin ng 'Maghintay Ka Lamang,' puno ng pag-asa at sobrang akma para makapagbigay ng magandang mensahe sa ating mga Kapuso."
"Nung ibigay ang chance na ma-revive ko 'to, ang laking karangalan na, tapos na-nominate pa.
"Talagang nakakataba ng puso."
The virtual awarding ceremony date will be released soon by the PMPC.
