Director and producer Antoinette Jadaone recounts how she almost lost her engagement ring while abroad
A lost wedding ring is no laughing matter--the frantic search, the sinking in your stomach, and the inevitable guilt are seriously upsetting. And all of these happened to director and recently engaged Antoinette Jadaone.
On her Instagram account, the director shared her nightmare over her lost ring in a post titled, “Ang Alamat ng Nawawalang Maluwag na Singsing.”
She wrote, “Pa-check out na kami ng hotel sa Rome. Nag-aayos na kami ng maleta. 'Nasa'yo singsing?' sabi ni Dan [Villegas].
“Tiningnan ko 'yung daliri ko. Wala ang singsing. 'Wala ang singsing!!!' sabi ko.”
According to the acclaimed director, this turning point led her to turn their room and her luggage upside down.
Siyempre in English.”
Her frantic search eventually led her to check her baggage and the clothes she recently put away on the trip.
She then promised that by the time she gets home, she'll have her ring adjusted and train herself to always look for her ring so as not to lose it again.
Similarly, Antoinette confirmed the news with a long post stating how she knew Dan was the one for her.
She wrote, “There was just this peaceful feeling that envelope me whenever I am with him. We don't fight about the pettiest things anymore-and if you know us, we can fight like three-year-olds fighting over the last piece of candy. I feel safe, I feel protected.
“There's an assurance that my secrets and dreams and failures found a sanctuary in him, I don't ever have to worry. I found a teammate in him-letting me do things on my own but also knows when to help or call me out.
“It's just that air of overwhelming love but never suffocating. It embraces me enough for me to feel I am never alone but not too tight that it makes me lose myself.
That was when I knew. It wasn't one moment. It was one moment after another, one feeling after another, that maybe didn't matter individually but became so strong when they all piled up. It was a maybe that simple question that asked-Do you want to keep this feeling for a long time? When I said yes, that's when I knew.”
