GMA television series na 'T.G.I.S,' paboritong show raw ni Antoinette Taus? Alamin DITO:
Filipino-American actress, host, singer, at humanitarian na si Antoinette Taus, nagkuwento at inalala ang mga bagay na tungkol sa kaniyang showbiz journey.
Sa latest episode ng online show na Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel, unang ikinuwento ni Antoinette ang dahilan kung bakit naging interesado siyang pasukin ang mundo ng show business.
Pahayag niya, “It was my mom's dream. Gusto niyang mag-artista pero hindi siya pinayagan ni Lolo. So, feeling ko lumabas 'yung frustrations niya sa amin because she would dress me up and make me perform in school. Pero hindi naman 'make' na ayoko kasi gusting-gusto ko naman. Kumbaga, kapag sinabing sing, game na game ako kaagad, to the point na my mom had a restaurant… in Angeles. I guess one of the known things was me at three or four years old, I was like that little girl always dancing on the table in the restaurant…So, it was always in me and bata pa ako madaldal na ako…”
Paliwanag pa niya, “I guess she just really brought it out of me and nurtured it. But, never would I say that we were influenced or forced, never. I still love doing it. Singing is something that I keep with me. I'm hoping actually that by next year I'll be releasing some music…”
Nagsimula noon si Antoinette sa ilang TV commercials at kalaunan ay naging parte na ng ilang television programs at movies.
Matatandaang napanood si Antoinette sa ilang Kapuso drama series tulad na lamang ng T.G.I.S. (1995), Anna Karenina (1996), Munting Anghel (2000), at pati na rin sa ilang television variety shows na ipinalabas noon sa GMA Network.
“Siguro masasabi kong pinakana-enjoy namin, feeling ko lang ah, mag-a-agree rin naman 'yung castmates ko… 'yung T.G.I.S… Kasi it wasn't such a heavy show na kailangan mong sobrang magdrama. So, taping days literally felt like hanging out with your barkada…"
"It was work, but it was our core memory of teenage life. Mayroon ding kaming drama behind the scenes, hindi mo naman maaalis 'yun. Siguro kung nakikinig 'yung ibang castmates namin matatawa siguro sila. But you know that's a part of it lalo na kapag bata ka pa… Tampuhan, minsan kailangan naming mag-meeting para lang magbati-bati then bati naman kami after,” dagdag niya.
