Out na ang bagong kanta ni Grammy award-winning artist Apl.de.Ap na "Why."

Ka-collab niya sa awit Pinoy rock star Bamboo at ito ang title track sa bago niyang extended play (EP) na PPP.

Tungkol ang kanta sa pagmamahal at pagpapalakas ng boses ng mga Pinoy.

"I think we have the same values and same concerns on what's going on in our country. This is my first EP outside of the Black Eyed Peas and (it's) very personal to me," bahagi ni Apl.

Bukod sa "Why," bahagi rin ng EP ang "Turn Around," na collab naman niya sa kapwa Pinoy at Black Eyed Peas member na si J. Rey Soul, at "Pinoy United," kasama naman si Datu Khomeini.

"It's about love--love for our people, our culture--and encouragement to speak up and try to inspire people with my music. (It's) a word of positive affirmation and we hope that things will turn around and by us helping each other, embracing each other. I had our country in mind when I was writing these songs," lahad ni Apl.

Umaasa daw siyang mas marami pang Pinoy ang maabot ng kanyang musika, lalo na at pumirma siya ng distribution deal sa GMA Music.

"GMA has a global footprints and also a reach to a lot of Filipinos, not just in the Philippines but around the world. It's a great partnership because I want to be able to reach all our kabayans from here and around the world," paliwanag niya.

"Growing up watching GMA, you what I'm saying? I feel like it will be a great content house for the future," dagdag pa ni Apl.
