Ara Mina is extremely proud and happy for Cristine Reyes's newfound popularity, though she's quite uncomfortable with some of the male fans now lining up to meet her younger sister. Ara spoke in a taped interview with Startalk aired last Saturday, July 21, on the positive feedback earned by Cristine in the recently concluded FHM 100 Sexiest Women event held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City last July 12. "Siyempre proud ako," said Ara when asked for comment. As we reported the day after the special event, Cristine did a sexy dance number, affirming her willingness to be more daring to boost her young career. The celebrated occasion took place a few days before Cristine's first sexy pictorial as FHM's August cover girl Her decision to pose for the country's leading men's magazine came after much reservation. Even Ara, who herself took five years before relenting to FHM's wishes, despite her status as an established sexy star, said that her sister was tiptoeing on whether to say yes or no. When Cristine finally acquiesced earlier this month, Ara took time out in accompanying her sister during the shoot to show support and pacify Cristine's nerves. Ara received several text messages from people saying that they were impressed with Cristine when they saw her during the FHM show. Proud as she is for Cristine, Ara's natural "ate" instincts couldn't help but surface when a lot of men, who are old enough to be Cristine's father, started asking for Cristine's number.
