Ariana Grande plans to temporarily step away from the spotlight once her Eternal Sunshine tour concludes, with her team saying the singer wants time to recharge following months of performances and heightened public attention.

A representative for Ariana told People that the singer intends to scale back public appearances after the final show of her tour in London on September 1.

“Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour.”

According to her representative, Ariana is focused on ending the tour on a positive note before taking time away from public-facing commitments.

“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”

The spokesperson added that Ariana has enjoyed reconnecting with audiences throughout the tour.

“This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”

A source close to the Grammy-winning artist also emphasized the physical demands of the concert series, describing each performance as highly athletic.

“She performs a very physical show, and there is a lot of athleticism involved. She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night.”

The publication also reported that Ariana has withdrawn from the planned West End revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George, where she had been slated to appear alongside her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.

Despite leaving the production, the insider said Ariana remains enthusiastic about the show's success.

“She cannot wait to support the brilliant team bringing this project to life.”

Grande's decision comes as conversations about her health and physical appearance continue online, particularly after the release of the music video for her latest single, "Petal," from her recently released album.

The insider said the record reflects Grande's experience navigating constant public commentary rather than focusing on romance.

“This album is a fight song, an anthem about the love-hate relationship with the public and their toxicity.”

“This album is not about any romantic partner or breakup in that way.”

The "Eternal Sunshine" tour marked Grande's return to the concert stage after several years dedicated to recording music and filming major projects, including her role as Glinda in the Wicked films.

Once the tour wraps, fans can next see Ariana in the upcoming comedy Focker-in-Law, the newest installment of the Meet the Parents franchise, which is scheduled to premiere on November 25.
