Former Up Dharma Down vocalist Armi Millare opens up about her exit from the group and says it was her "longest relationship."

After years of laying low from the spotlight, OPM band UDD (formerly known as Up Dharma Down) frontwoman Armi Millare made headlines after announcing her exit from the group.

In a social media post, Armi narrated, "Last June, I decided to sever ties with Terno Recordings, its mother company MTME and as a consequence of this, my band, UDD."

She continued, "UDD has remained my longest relationship--one that I've tried to keep sacred and tried to preserve with the principles I have upheld from the moment I learned that I had a dream that one day I would be in that one band I would dedicate my life to."

UDD also paid tribute to Armi who has been the band's vocalist and keyboardist since their debut in 2004. The band announced Armi's departure.

"We'll never forget how the four of us started out, how thrilled we were in 2004 to finally be playing at Saguijo to a crowd of twenty people," the post read.

"Although we're sad to see her leave the band, we wish her all the best as she embarks on her solo career. And we hope you can all support her future projects as well."

The announcement was followed by their final music video release with Armi still in the group. The music video released on December 26 was for their 2019 single "Tambalan."

The band tweeted, "Before we move on to new beginnings, here's a little gift from us. We hope you enjoy this music video of 'Tambalan' directed by Nic Reyes. Merry Christmas and see you next year!"

The group's remaining members, Carlos Tañada, Ean Mayor, and Paul Yap, mentioned they will still continue making music under Terno Recordings. They also thanked their fans who have supported them through the years.

"We are so grateful. We really wouldn't have made it this far without all of you. Please keep supporting OPM!"

UDD has recorded four albums since it formed in 2004. Some of their most popular hits include "Tadhana," "Oo," and "Indak."

They debuted with the official band name Up Dharma Down and renamed their group to UDD in 2019.

Among UDD's performance highlights for 2021 was releasing their song "Paagi," which was included in the official soundtrack for "Trese" on Netflix.
