Arnold Clavio slams fake news purveyors: 'Wala itong puwang sa panahon ngayon."

Kapuso news anchor Arnold Clavio slammed some fake citations of some international personalities praising President Rodrigo Duterte, on Monday, April 6.

On Instagram, the Tonight With Arnold Clavio host posted a series of fake quotations of influential personalities in the world including Great Britain's Queen Elizabeth, Superman actor Henry Cavill, Crash Landing On You star Hyun Bin, American talk show host Jimmy Fallon, and North Korea's Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

He wrote, “Ang dami talagang oras ng iba. Sana huwag ninyo naman sayangin ang oras para magbuhat ng bangko o purihin ang sarili ninyo.

"Halos lahat ay nagsasakripisyo para labanan ang COVID-19.”

He also hit fake news purveyors and urged them to just help the frontliners by donating the money they are earning in exchange of spreading false information.

“Sa mga gumagawa nito na wala namang naitutulong sa nakararami, ibahagi ninyo sana ang bayad sa inyo para maipambili ng mga PPEs at n95 masks ng mga frontliner.

“Mga 'iGan, huwag na nating ikalat pa ito. Wala itong puwang sa panahon ngayon,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the same day, Presidente Rodrigo Duterte once again addressed the nation and announced the extension of enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) until April 30, 2020.

The initial period of ECQ was from March 17 until April 12 but due to the rapid increase of coronavirus cases in the country, the government decided to make the quarantine period longer than previous settlement.

JUST IN.
