Disney's 'Artemis Fowl' will forgo a theatrical release but will be launched on streaming site Disney Plus.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney's Artemis Fowl will not have a theatrical release and will instead be launched on streaming site Disney Plus.
The movie is an adaptation of best-selling young adult book series Artemis Fowl by Irish author Eoin Colfer and was set to premiere on May 29.
It tells the story of young criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl II (Ferdia Shaw) who goes on a quest to find his missing father Artemis Fowl (Colin Farell).
The movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh.
Many other Disney movies have moved their release dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including bid budget blockbusters like Black Widow and Mulan.
