Did you miss the tandem of Robert (Arthur Solinap) and Berta (Jen Rosendahl)? Well, you can catch both of them in the grand premiere of 'Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy Ang Kuwento' starting June 11, after '24 Oras Weekend.'

We are just a few days away from the grand premiere of the new chapter of Pepito Manaloto.

The flagship sitcom of GMA-7 will be bringing back the OG casts of the show led by award-winning comedian Michael V. and versatile TV-movie star Manilyn Reynes in Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy Ang Kuwento.

In the online media conference held last Tuesday (June 7), the original cast shared their feelings, when they found out that they would have to stop taping to give way for the prequel last year.

In July 2021, Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento aired, which featured Sef Cadayona as the young Pepito, while Mikee Quintos portrayed the young Elsa. The story then revolved around the life of Pitoy in Barangay Caniogan back in the '80s.

Former sexy actress Jen Rosendahl, who plays the robotic kasambahay Berta, admitted that she felt sad, when she got the news that they won't be taping for a while.

In an interview with Lhar Santiago, Jen said, “Ang lungkot talaga 'yung alam mo, something to look forward to, kasi 'pagmagkakasama kami sa taping, masaya!”

“Kahit ako may iba ako kuwarto dapat, for example doon sa mansyon, pero nakikisiksikan ako kina Ate Mane, kina Janna, kasi ang saya,” she added. “Alam mo 'yung friendship and it turned into a family and then, nalungkot talaga ako dito sa bahay. Sabi ko, 'Ayan na wala ng Pepito.'”

But after seeing Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento, she was really impressed with the stellar actors, who are part of the prequel.

Jen explained, “Pero nung napanood ko naman, it's really something nice for the viewers, especially for the new ones, 'yung mga bagong fans ni Pepito na hindi alam 'yung past talaga. At least ngayon, nakita nila.

“And sila Ate Pokwang, sila Gladys [Reyes], Sef [Cadayona], and Mikee [Quintos], they did a great job. Ang ganda panoorin.”

She continued, “Kahit nakakalungkot sa amin, nawawala rin 'yung lungkot, kasi natutuwa rin ako, alam mo 'yun 'pag sinabi mo mag-stop muna ng taping, hindi 'yung totally makakalimutan mo 'yung Pepito. There's something for the fans to still look forward to na, 'Ay ang ganda, ito pala 'yung before.'”

Versatile actor Arthur Solinap, who is among the fan favorites, since he portrays the family driver Robert, shared during the interview that making the prequel of Pepito Manaloto did wonders for the show at the end.

He explained, “Tapos nakita ko nga there's always a reason--mawawala kami at least hindi siya pinilit na ilagay ['yung Unang Kuwento].”

“Actually, 'yung build up na 'yun napaganda lalo 'yung Pepito, alam mo 'yun, binuhay nila. Nag-start sila sa umpisa, so parang hindi kami talaga Nawala,” he added.
