Sparkle star Ashley Ortega has proven that she is one of the best drama actresses of her generation. Last year, the 27-year-old beauty embraced a new role as the CEO of her scented candle business, SINTA.

GMANetwork.com got the chance to interview Ashley during the first Kapuso Valentine Fair, held at the GMA Network Center on Thursday morning, February 12. She shared many of her learnings from managing her business.

“I'm still in the process of learning, kasi wala pang one year itong SINTA,” Ash admitted.

She continued, “At ang dami talagang technical stuff, and I'm trying my best talaga to balance the artista life with the business. But again, it's fulfilling. I'm really grateful and thankful sa mga buyer na naniniwala sa SINTA, because last year was a great year for SINTA. Actually, four months pa lang namin ni-launch since Christmas collection, sobrang daming bumili and daming sumuporta. So, I'm really grateful.”

The Kapuso homegrown actress was beaming as she talked about her love for scented candles, which eventually pushed her to venture into this kind of business.

“Recently, I've been super busy with work, pero since ni-launch ko nga ito last year, it's actually my love for scented candles. Mahilig talaga ako.”

“Sa room ko, sobrang daming scented candles, and I also did some research about it. Tapos, ang dami ko rin binili para lang to have the same quality as the imported ones that I have. So, I came up with these scents. Actually, tatlo lang ito last year, but now I added one new scent. Four scents na siya ngayon, and of course, I have new designs as well. So, I'm just happy that SINTA is growing because it's my love for scented candles.”
