Ashley Ortega, Joaquin Manansala tried barista activities at the Barista Competition 2020.
Kapuso stars Ashley Ortega and Joaquin Manansala became a barista for a day by trying to do various coffee blends and recipes at the annual Barista Competition 2020, on Wednesday, March 11.
With the assistance of certified baristas, coffee lovers Ashley and Joaquin also learned the parts of espresso machine. They also tried making latte art.
“Actually, I'm a coffee lover. I love drinking coffee. Even my sister, 'yun 'yung bonding namin,” Ashley said.
From extracting of full-bodied espresso to the right steaming of milk to latte art, the Kapuso stars enjoyed being a barista for a day.
Joaquin, who greatly appreciated the activity, said, “Nung una, mahirap kasi naninginig 'yung kamay ko. Pero nung third try ko, 'yon nagawa ko na siya, 'tapos sinubukan ko ulit. Pang-forth, nagawa ko.”
“To entertain, ipapakita ko sa mga friends ko, sa parents ko, na may natutunan ako today,” he added.
Ashley, on the other hand, said, “Gusto ko talagang matuto, so parang ulit-uulitin ko na.”
