Ashley Ortega says PBB helped her reunite with her mother, whom she has not spoken to in three years.
Ashley Ortega expressed her deep gratitude to Pinoy Big Brother for being the reason she was able to reconnect with her mother, whom she hadn't spoken to in three years due to a conflict between them.
She was among the housemates recently evicted from Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.
In her guest appearance on Unang Hirit, Ashley shared that it was only a few days ago when she received a letter from her mother, so the emotions were still fresh for her.
"Actually, that was just a couple of days ago. So, very fresh pa. Sobrang na-touch ako and hindi ko talaga in-expect na magkakaroon ako ng handwritten letter from my mom," Ashley happily shared.
"So, that was the first message I received from her after not talking to her for how many years. So, nabigla ako. Actually, after reading that message, naiyak ako. Siyempre, hindi ko napigilan 'yung sarili ko. 'Pag nasa confession room talaga ako, hindi ko alam marami palang nararamdaman," Ashley added.
Ashley recalled her decision to leave her mother's home, which is why she hasn't spoken to her for three years.
"It was hard for me to accept it and I deserve a letter from my mom saying those words to me. Kasi parang, siyempre, I left her and haven't spoken to her," she said.
After leaving Bahay ni Kuya, Ashley mentioned that she sent flowers to her mother. She said she wanted to have enough time first before meeting her mother in person.
Ashley thanked Kuya for making it possible for her to reconcile with her mother.
"Bilib talaga ako kay Kuya. Si Kuya talaga na nagawa niya ng paraan. Or I don't know how he did it na magkaroon kami ng moment ng mom ko na kumbaga 'yung mag-reach out ako sa kaniya and I received a message from my mom," Ashley said.
"That's something that I feel like nobody can ever do for me," she added.
During her time in the PBB house, Ashley shared that she hadn't spoken to her mother for three years.
"Three years na kasi akong living alone rin... galit pa rin kasi siya sa akin. I haven't spoken to her in three years," Ashley revealed.
