Ashley Sarmiento explained why she's not angry at her father.
Ashley Sarmiento said she still hasn't talked to her father until now, but also expressed why she doesn't hold anger against him.
In an episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda on Friday, March 13, the Sparkle teen star opened up about her relationship with her father. Ashley said she still tries to be updated about her father's whereabouts.
"Nag-a-ask pa rin po ako sa family members ko po kung kumusta po siya and recently naman po, nakita ko naman po, may update naman po ako ng picture niya. 'Yun nga lang po, hindi pa rin po kami talaga nakakapag-usap," Ashley told Boy Abunda.
When asked if she received any messages from him during her stay inside Bahay ni Kuya, the Kapuso Third Big Placer said, "Hindi po, pero 'yun po 'yung ine-expect ko po when I came in."
In an episode of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 last October 2025, Ashley shared how she had never met her father since she was born, but they did communicate before on social media.
Despite this, Ashley said she's still open and willing to talk to him should she get the chance.
"Ako naman, very willing pa rin talaga kong makausap siya. I just don't know how I would be able to handle it like emotionally strong. Pero I'm really open to talk to him and ask questions, and if he's going to say sorry, I'm willing to forgive him," Ashley then mused.
In the same interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Ashley also explained why she's not angry at her father.
"Ako po kasi, kung hindi po nangyari 'yun, kung hindi po kami niya naiwan, wala po ako ngayon dito po sa showbiz, e," Ashley answered.
