
ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo is rumored to star as a male lead in the Korean drama adaptation of webtoon True Beauty according to news outlet Ilgan Sports.
On April 23, Cha Eun Woo's agency Fantagio announced, "Cha Eun Woo has received an offer to star in the drama True Beauty and is currently reviewing the offer."
According to media outlet Soompi, True Beauty is a story of a young woman who doesn't want to be seen without makeup on. She develops a love story with a man who is the only one who knows what her bare face looks like.
Even before the drama was confirmed, Cha Eun Woo was the top pick among netizens to star in the popular webtoon to take the lead role of Lee Su Ho.
The character of Lee Su Ho is a handsome, smart guy who is not interested in any girl showing feelings for him. Despite his indifference and his sharp tongue when he's in a bad temper, Lee Su So is actually a kind-hearted guy.
Bon Factory is said to be in charge of production, while screenwriter Lee Si Eun from “Rude Miss Young Ae” will write the script. Filming might take place during the second half of the year.
Cha Eun Woo has previously starred in lead roles for dramas My ID is Gangnam Beauty and Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.
