Atasha Muhlach is determined to work hard for every project that comes her way, including her return to theater through Bongga Ka Day! The Annie Batungbakal Musical.
Atasha is one of the twins of celebrity couple Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez. Her twin brother, Andres Muhlach, is also in showbiz.
For the titular role of Annie Batungbakal, Atasha revealed she went through a rigorous audition process.
“The preparation took months of dancing, singing, and a lot of research kasi I wasn't born during the time in the 70s, so there's a lot for me to learn in order to understand the character.
“Leading up to the audition, every day I was doing my workshop, I was singing, dancing, acting, and I put a lot of pressure to memorize a lot of songs, I put pressure on myself to make sure na binigay ko talaga lahat ng 100 percent,” Atasha shared when she spoke with GMANetwork.com and other entertainment media on Wednesday, June 17.
According to the young actress, she never once considered using her parents' names to easily land projects.
“Never po. No, no, no!” she declared.
“In our family, ever since we're little, whenever you want something in life, you have to work for it, nothing is given. If you're given something, it doesn't feel right, especially when you put no work to it. It's not the right time and it's not the right place to even do such a thing.”
She further emphasized, “In life, you have to work hard for the things that you want. Nothing should ever be given, nothing comes easy in life.”

She shared, “Growing up as that, I've never seen them as celebrities. I'm more inspired to be like them as people because they taught me the core values and the importance of working hard. The reason of who I am today is also because of them. I can't thank them enough. I would never ever see my family as a disadvantage.”
She also reiterated, “For sure my parents won't ever allow us to use the Muhlach card. Hindi puwede yun. Bawal, bawal!”
For now, Atasha said she is happy with the warm reception she has received from the public. She also admitted that she still has a lot to learn, including further improving her Tagalog-speaking skills.
“I'm just super happy that the people have accepted me for me. Yes, I have a long way to go, I have a lot to learn. Pero I'm just happy that people accept me and they embrace me for me. I really want to learn. Talagang gustung-gusto ko talaga. I'm trying my best. I doesn't happen overnight, it takes time,” Atasha concluded.
