Mashup Queen Ate Gay has once again went viral for his hilarious mashup songs.

In an interview with Unang Hirit earlier today, August 18, the comedian related that he opts to create comical videos and song covers to make people happy in his own way, especially in these trying times.

“Lagi kong ginagawa ito, lalo na ngayong quarantine, kasi kailangan ng mga tao ngayon ang ngumiti, tumawa.

"Kaya kahit konti ay nakakadagdag naman ako, nakakatulong naman ako sa pagpapasaya kahit maliit na bagay lang,” he said.

Since people are already used to his comedic lines and banters on TV and online, Ate Gay likewise shared that he didn't expect his videos to go viral.

“Talagang nagulat ako noon 'tsaka nagpapasalamat ako sa mga nakakaalala.

"Dahil magaganda naman 'yung mga mensahe doon, nagte-trending siya sa Twitter at kung saan-saan man,” he added.

Meanwhile, since his means of livelihood were put to halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ate Gay has put up a food business in order to adapt to the new normal.

The comedian-entrepreneur shared that the idea behind his siomai business, “Siomai Himala,” was inspired by his past gestures towards his fellow comedians.

“Nasanay kasi ako sa pagpapatikim sa mga kasama ko sa Klownz at Zirkoh.

"Isa sa mga napatikim ko sa kanila 'yung siomai. Sabi ko, bakit 'di ako gumawa ng siomai, e, pangmasa naman,” he said.
