Ate Gay shares progress from chemotherapy as the tumor gets smaller.

Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Aducal Morales, has shared an encouraging update on his battle with cancer. The popular comedian is currently fighting mucoepidermoid carcinoma, a type of cancer that affects the salivary glands.

In a recent Facebook post, Ate Gay revealed that his tumor had significantly decreased in size, shrinking from 10 centimeters to 8.5 centimeters after just three days of chemotherapy.

"Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat na nanalangin ng aking agarang paggaling, patuloy lang po," Ate Gay expressed his gratitude, adding in another post, "Ang swerte ko sa Anghel ko .. madami nag aalaga sa akin...nag-chemo at chemo radiation ako kanina. Salamat sa patuloy na panalangin."

Weeks earlier in September, Ate Gay had shared the news of his Stage IV mucoepidermoid squamous cell carcinoma diagnosis and expressed his deep appreciation for the generosity of sponsors who made it possible for him to seek treatment.

"'Di ko man ma-replyan taos puso akong nagpapasalamat sa sobrang dami... patuloy lang po ang panalangin," he had said at the time.

Additionally, Ate Gay thanked a kind-hearted fan for helping him find accommodation in Alabang, conveniently located near the hospital, making it easier for him to undergo his treatments.

Despite the challenges he faces, Ate Gay's positive attitude and the ongoing support of his fans continue to inspire many as he fights through this difficult journey.
