Actress Awra Briguela to Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda: “I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for you.”
Awra Briguela expressed her love and gratitude to mentor and manager, Vice Ganda, as the latter recently celebrated her 49th birthday.
In an Instagram post, the young actress shared a series of photos of her with the seasoned comedian-actor through the years. Along with these, Awra penned a touching message for the Unkabogable Star.
“I don't even know where to start, but I will never get tired of saying this, I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for you. You extended my life. You saw something in me that I couldn't see in myself. You believed in me when no one else did. And most importantly, you helped me get back on my feet after I fell,” she wrote.
The Kapamilya star also thanked Vice Ganda for giving her the opportunity to study again.
She went on, “I never imagined that after five years, I would be able to return and enjoy studying again. You don't know how much this means to me because going back to school has been the best thing that has happened to me after everything I've been through. It has truly helped me move on and improve my mental health. I really needed a new environment that would treat me like a normal person and I wouldn't have been able to do that without your help.”
Awra then said that she will be “forever grateful” for Vice Ganda's life and made a promise to her.
“I promise that once I finish school and become successful, I will never forget all the things you have done for me. I promise to repay your kindness someday. I know you never ask for anything in return, but I will always do my best to give back to you in the future,” she shared.
Vice Ganda turned 49 last March 31 and received a lot of birthday greetings and messages from her fellow celebrities and netizens. In an episode of It's Showtime, the renowned star shared her wish on her special day.
"Nawa'y maging maganda ang buhay nating lahat. Sa ating mga kapwa Pilipino, nawa'y makuha natin lahat ang pinaka-dine-deserve natin. Happy birthday to me at sa lahat ng may birthday sa buong mundo," she said.
