Awra Briguela finally stepped into the drag spotlight for the first time.
In an Instagram post, the young actress shared a video of her first-ever drag performance with her idol and drag queen Marina Summers, performing Lady Gaga's “Telephone” on stage.
“Still can't believe I got to perform Telephone with the icon, the diva, the doll herself... my mother, Marina Summers!” she wrote.
Taking it all in, Awra still could not believe she had just completed her first drag performance.
“It's also my first drag performance ever, and I'll never forget this moment,” she shared.
Recently, Marina announced her transition as a trans woman in celebration of Women's Month. She first gained recognition when she participated in Drag Race Philippines, the first Filipino franchise of RuPaul's Drag Race, which aired in 2022, followed by her appearance in RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs the World Season 2.
Meanwhile, Awra previously completed senior high school under the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand in July 2025.
