Before joining 'StarStruck,' Kapuso actor Mike Tan only knew a few things. His daily routine: School, church, home, basketball.

Kapuso actor Mike Tan admitted that he didn’t know much before joining the reality-based artista search StarStruck almost ten years ago.
“Ang alam ko lang pumasok ng eskwelahan, pumunta ng simbahan tapos uuwi ng bahay, mag-ba-basketball. 'Yun lang alam kong gawin,” he shared in Walang Tulugan.
This led him to have doubts in auditioning. “Ang tanong ko sa mga kabarkada ko, ‘Ano? Susubukan ko ba? Itutuloy ko ba?',” he shared.
With some words of encouragement from his friends and a leap of faith later, his life changed drastically when he emerged as the season’s winner.
“Every challenge, talagang pinagbutihan ko, talagang binigay ko one hundred percent ko,” he said.
His advice to the candidates of the upcoming season? Be fearless and treasure the opportunity. “Huwag mahiya. 'Yung chance na ‘to, minsan lang dumating sa buhay nila. Huwag nilang sayangin,” he concluded.
