Barbie Almalbis and Martin Honasan

Barbie Almalbis says she is still unsure how her husband, Martin Honasan, contracted the virus.

A covered-up Barbie Almalbis is seen on Instagram yesterday, January 24, as she shares that her husband, Martin Honasan, has contracted the coronavirus.

On the photo-sharing platform, the OPM singer said she took care of her husband day in and day out after he tested positive from the respiratory disease.

She noted, “We are still not sure how he got the virus, maybe from one of our recent hospital visits, or from someone in our bubble who was asymptomatic.

“I'm also writing to share our testimony. This was one of the hardest months we've ever had, a faith-stretching season that brought us to our knees many times, but God has remained faithful to sustain us and give us peace through it all.”

“On the day Martin tested positive, he was reading 2 Chronicles 20 in the Bible,” Barbie said before quoting the verses on the post.

“These became the verses we held on to as we prayed, especially on the most challenging days.”

The 43-year-old singer shared many of their experiences while Martin was battling the coronavirus and thanked the many people who have helped them in their ordeal.

She said, “One night, it was difficult and sometimes painful for him to breathe, and he felt fuzzy and confused from a 9-day fever and dehydration.

“He was feeling scared, and we mentioned it to our nurse. She gently tapped him on the shoulder and said, 'Don't worry, Sir Martin. God is with you.'

“She didn't know it, but that moment gave Martin a surge of hope and peace. She assured us that God had been with us every moment, as He promised. He began to recover soon after, and we were able to go home after a few days.”

Barbie mentioned, “One of the things that truly made an impact on us were the nurses and doctors who helped our family with such excellence, compassion, and love.

“We are grateful to our dear family and friends who prayed with us, supported us, and encouraged us every day. I love you all so much.

“We praise God for all He has done and for making himself known to us even more through this.”

Joyce said, “Praise God! So blessed by your testimony; it's always so amazing to see God work in the lives of His people. I am praying for Martin's continued strength and healing. Stay safe!!”

Meanwhile, Sitti added, “We will be praying for your family, Barbie. Thank you so much for sharing and encouraging us with your testimony.”
