After completing the event, GMA Integrated News reporter Sherilyn Untalan got the chance to talk to the Sparkle actress and asked her what message she can give to all ladies as we celebrate Women's Month this March.

Sharing her experience first in the running event, Barbie said, “I'm just so proud to all the ladies na nakatakbo ko today. Ang gaganda ng katakbo ko.”

She then quoted an iconic line by her character Klay in the high-rating GMA Prime series Maria Clara at Ibarra to remind women that their voice matters.

“I feel very safe kasi I'm around all the women and well, a wise woman once said, 'Men have no right to tell women to shut up.'”

Joining Barbie in the groundbreaking series Maria Clara at Ibarra were Dennis Trillo, Julie Anne San Jose, Juancho Trivino, and David Licauco.
