Barbie Forteza and Derrick Monasterio described how their love team has evolved and what makes their upcoming romantic film, Almost a Love Story, different from others.
During Almost a Love Story’s bloggers’ conference, Barbie shared a particular scene from their movie that marked Derrick’s more daring side, “Nagpapakita na po ng abs si Derrick ngayon!”
She added, “Bagets pa kami noon. Ngayon, this is a more mature DerBie. In terms of acting, siyempre. And ‘yung development namin dalawa as a love team. ‘Yung friendship namin magre-reflect din talaga siya oncam.”
Barbie also emphasized the movie’s beautiful setting. “Siyempre in-effort-an ‘yung pelikula. This was shot in Italy, what could be more special than that?”
Derrick commented that their roles are more mature yet realistic in Almost a Love Story. “Siguro po ‘yung ini-expect po nila, gusto po kasi ni Direk Louie [Ignacio] na kung ano kami sa real life, ilabas po namin [sa] movie. Kasi sa soaps namin before, meron kaming character pero dito sa movie 'yung chacter namin is ‘yung kami talaga.”
