Almost a Love Story lead stars Barbie Forteza and Derrick Monasterio may not be lovers in real life, but their friendship has withstood the test of time.
During Almost a Love Story’s bloggers’ conference, Barbie recalled her fondest memory with Derrick.
“Sabay kaming nag-celebrate ng birthday kasi magkasunod lang po ‘yung birthday namin ni Derrick, sa MOA’s Eye. Kasi takot po ako sa heights, sobra. As in hindi niyo po ako mapapaakyat sa kahit saan pero nadala niya ako sa MOA’s Eye,” shared Barbie.
Barbie also said she sees her real life “almost a love story” with Derrick with acceptance. “Para sa akin, ang almost a love story namin, tinanggap ko siya as isang parang a happy acceptance kasi parang kung sa totoong buhay man, halimbawa ‘yung nangyari sa aming dalawa ni Derrick, almost a love story pero tignan niyo naman hanggang ngayon mas close pa kami sa ibang mag-jowa,” explained Barbie.
She also shared how reliable Derrick is as a friend and how close they’ve gotten through the years. “Puwede tayong ma-stuck sa isang island, alam na namin kung paano mag-survive, alam na namin kung paano kapitan ang isa’t isa. ‘Yung almost a love story namin, nauwi sa mas magandang story,” said the Kapuso actress.
