What kind of celebration does Barbie want instead?
By MARY LOUISE LIGUNAS

Kapuso Teen Queen Barbie Forteza won't be throwing a grand debut celebration for her eighteenth birthday on July 31.

According to Lhar Santiago’s report on 24 Oras, the actress would rather have a simple celebration with her closest friends including her The Half Sisters leading man, Andre Paras, and her co-stars in the now defunct show Tween Hearts. This includes some of her closest friends like Joyce Ching, Louise delos Reyes, and Bea Binene.

“Nag-pa-plano ako [nung] lagi din naman naming ginagawa, 'yung [mag] overnight, kami kami. Kainan lang din, wala pa ring inuman,” she shared, laughing.
At the pace that her career is going, there isn’t much more she could ask for as she turns eighteen next month. In fact, she recently received an advanced birthday gift as she got nominated as the Best Supporting Actress in the Gawad Urian Awards for the indie film Mariquina.

“Nakakatuwa. As in sigaw ako ng sigaw [nung nalaman kong nominated ako]. Para akong nanalo agad. Ang OA ko mag-react…Sobrang saya [ko lang] saka sobrang thankful kasi napansin nila ko at na-recognize nila yung pelikula namin,” she said.
