Filipina actress Barbie Imperial once again addressed rumors surrounding her relationship with the Gutierrez family.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Barbie opened up about her real situation with her partner's mother, veteran actress Annabelle Rama.

Speculations previously circulated online claiming that Barbie and Annabelle were not on good terms. However, the issue had already been dismissed, with Annabelle herself denying any feud between them.

Barbie echoed this clarification, laughing off the rumors.

"Honestly po, wala naman. Sobrang sweet po ni Tita Annabelle sa akin 'tsaka sobra pong maalaga," she shared.

Barbie revealed that Annabelle often sends her food, even delivering her favorite dishes to her home.

"Okay po kami as in, okay po kami ni Tita Annabelle," she added.

Despite this, Barbie admitted that she initially felt intimidated by Annabelle at the early stages of her relationship with Richard Gutierrez.

"Actually, 'yun 'yung pinaka unang concern. Medyo natakot po ako," Barbie lightly confessed. "Pero sa totoo lang po parang kung sino pa 'yung maldita na impresyon ng mga tao, parang siya pa po 'yung pinaka warm sa lahat ng naging mom ng mga naging boyfriend ko po."

While she admitted that the intimidation lingered at times, Barbie expressed gratitude for the kindness and care she received from Annabelle.

She believes the veteran actress's strong personality comes from her instinct to protect her children.

"Feeling ko kapag 'di ka niya gusto or may nagawa ka sa mga anak niya, tulad ng ibang magulang na poprotektahan 'yung anak. But 'yung kay Tita, scary talaga," Barbie said.

Currently, Barbie shared that she and Annabelle are still adjusting to each other. Acknowledging that both of them have strong personalities, they make a conscious effort to avoid conflict for their shared love for Richard.

Dating rumors between Barbie and Richard began circulating in May 2024 after their photos together went viral. The couple later confirmed their relationship, explaining that they initially chose to keep it private.

They also addressed and denied allegations that Barbie was a third party in Richard's past relationship with his ex-wife, Sarah Lahbati.

Evident in their current happy relationship, Barbie was seen with the Gutierrez family as they celebrated Richard and Raymond's birthdays recently.
