The death of the Barretto patriarch last year caught the attention of the whole country due to a family feud between siblings Claudine, Gretchen, and Marjorie.
It has been over a year since the death of Miguel “Pikey” Barretto, but his demise is still fresh in the memories of the whole Barretto clan.
Miguel died at the age of 82 on October 15, 2019.
Claudine Barretto posted on Instagram a cake with the words written on it, “We miss and love you daddy.”
She wrote in the captions that marking his first death anniversary hurts her so much.
“1st year Death anniversary of my Dad.we terribly miss u Dad.its been 1year already & its hurts more & more each day.we luv u Daddy,forever & always jjbarretto.”
Marjorie, Claudine's elder sister, also took to Instagram to express how much she misses her dad.
“One year in heaven today. I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU, Dad. I'm missing you too much. Please say a prayer for him. May he always be remembered as a wonderful man. One of a kind”
Meanwhile, Pikey's grandchildren Julia and Dani Barretto are still visibly emotional as they remember the death of their dear lolo.
The death of the Barretto patriarch made headlines last year after a bitter quarrel erupted among the Barretto sisters during the wake of their father.
It was reported that even President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, who visited the wake, witnessed the altercation.
