Just like a regular woman, vlogger and former actor BB Gandanghari has recently shared her mammogram experience.
A mammogram is a medical procedure done to women to detect early signs of breast cancer.
In an Instagram entry, BB uploaded a video of her post her mammogram procedure and even encouraged women to submit themselves to it to make sure their breasts are at peak of health.
“Alright, so that's it. Para sa mga girls, ladies, I think you need to do your mammogram if you haven't done so just to make sure,” she said in the video.
In her caption, she said, “mammogram: Yearly medical care. An ounce of #prevention than a pound of #cure.”
In an earlier video post, BB described how she felt when she tried it for the first time. She hoped that she's clear of any signs of cancer.
“#braLess… Dressing Room. I'm going to get my results soon and I'm praying that I'll be clear of any indication of early stages of #breastCancer… Mammogram is very important for every woman, especially so when one is on Hormone Replacement Therapy like myself,” she said.
Her posts were met with good responses from the netizens who mostly praised her for her actions regarding her health.
It's been over five years since a US court declared that BB, formerly known as Rustom Padilla, is now a full-fledged woman.
It was in 2006 when the then-controversial actor admitted his real sexual preference via a reality show.
