Find out if Bea Alonzo still believes that love is a choice.

In her latest vlog, Kapuso star Bea Alonzo reacted to some of her statements in past interviews. She explained that she thought about doing the said vlog after realizing that people sometimes change their views or opinions on things as they grow older.

She thought it'll be interesting to see if she still agrees with some of the things she said in past interviews.

The first quote that Bea reacted to was about a character she portrayed in a past TV series named Cielo.

In her 2005 interview, Bea said, “Kasi ako, like Cielo, kaya kong i-give up at i-sacrifice ang lahat kahit ultimong happiness ko na, para sa family ko.”

Bea then reacted, “Siguro when you're older, your main priority is just happiness and your personal life more than your professional life.”

She then explained, “You know why? Kasi my happiness is my work, my family and my lovelife. It's just all about balance. Parang you cannot sacrifice anything, and I believe that you can have it all.”

Another quote from 2005 that Bea reacted to was about love and relationships. In the interview, she said, “Kung darating siya, darating siya. Kung para sa'yo, para sa'yo.”

She then lauded the younger Bea for her intuitiveness.

“Actually, mas bilib ako sa younger self ko about love kasi mas intuitive siya and mas independent. Mahal niya 'yung sarili niya.

“Along the way, na-sway nang konti pero I feel like I am back on track again.”

Another statement that Bea reacted to was from her 2014 interview where she said, “Attraction is not a choice. Love is a choice like happiness.”

Bea said, “Totoo. You cannot choose who you get attracted to. But I believe that you choose who you love.”

She then went on to explain her statement on love being a choice.

“Hindi ko naman ibig sabihin diyan that you choose who you love, but you can choose to love that person every day.

“Love is a choice. Like when you wake up in the morning, 'kapag feeling mo galit na galit ka na or parang naiinis ka na, because after a while ma-a-unravel na 'yung differences niyo 'di ba? Parang 'Uh… ayaw ko na 'tong taong 'to.'

“But you can still choose to love that person. Because after a while, love becomes a choice, and that's how you make a relationship work.”

Bea then teased herself saying, “Wow, sabi? Talaga? Parang hindi nasaktan nang ilang beses ah!”

The new Kapuso star also reacted to her past statement when she was 18 years old, the one about her liking bad boys.

In the said statement Bea said, “Ngayon…siguro 'yung magiging crush ko…like 'yung mga ganun, lalaking-lalaki…brusko, bad boy type. Gusto ko 'yung may authority kasi matigas ang ulo ko.”

Bea laughed and said, “Pero alam mo nung bata ako mahilig talaga ako sa bad boys.”

Obviously, Bea has since changed her mind about the type of boys she likes.

So, she said, “I therefore conclude, we should stick to the good boys.” (laughs) Good boys for the win!”
