Bea Borres has once again mentioned her daughter Baby Hope's father and ex-boyfriend, Meray Yamada, in a recent post.
The content creator shared screenshots on social media of her conversation with her child's godmother, actress Andrea Brillantes, revealing that she was the one who named her daughter Hope.
As she posted the screenshots, Bea finally broke her silence on Meray's controversial act to tattoo Baby Hope's name on his arm.
“If you watched my Toni Talks interview, you would know that Blythe [Andrea Brillantes] was the one who named my daughter Hope because she knew I was at my rock bottom,” she said.
During the lowest point of her life, Bea shared that she could not eat for days and often cried in the shower, questioning how she deserved so much pain.
“Her name is not something I chose just because it sounded pretty or aesthetic. I named my daughter Hope because my best friend and I knew she would be our hope when times got tough, and that she would give us the strength to keep going despite all the hardships in our lives,” she explained.
Reflecting on how her daughter got her name, Bea expressed her frustration over Meray tattooing it.
“Baka it might seem mababaw sa inyo, but I think it just shows how some men can be so self-centered, doing things just so they can say they are the father, especially when you were the reason I was at rock bottom in the first place,” she shared.
“Kaya ako naiinis and bothered that someone who acts like an “ulirang ama” had the name of my daughter tattooed,” Bea added.
She also revealed that her uncle was supposed to tattoo Hope's name on his arm, describing him as “one of the many people in my life who stepped up because some people chose not to.”
Bea first confirmed the father of her baby in August 2025, after Meray revealed on TikTok that he is the father, a post that has since been deleted.
In November 2025, Bea shared that she had almost experienced pre-term labor while dealing with a high-risk pregnancy. Since then, she has been focusing on her baby and her own health.
She first announced her pregnancy on her YouTube channel in a vlog, sharing her friends' reactions to the big news back in August.
