In her recent social media update on Facebook, content creator Bea Borres shared a post showcasing photos of her stretch marks following the birth of her first child, Victoria Hope, more commonly known as Baby Pea.
According to Bea, she initially didn't want to share this on social media, but she noticed many mothers constantly comparing themselves to her, noting how quickly she seemed to return to a slim figure despite having just given birth.
“Hi everyone, i didn't wanna share this but i've been seeing moms comparing themselves to me, saying ang bilis ko raw pumayat and bumalik alindog,” Bea wrote in the caption of her post.
The content creator further shared that the reason she isn't eating as much now is simply because she doesn't feel like it, noting that she had frequently indulged her appetite while she was still pregnant.
“Nagsawa lang talaga ako kumain cuz I didn't hold back when i was pregnant,” she shared.
Bea also admitted that following the birth of her daughter, stretch marks began to appear, which have since become an insecurity for her.
Choosing to be patient with herself, Bea mentioned that she isn't quite ready for mini skirts or dresses yet, as she is still in the process of finding her confidence in her “new body.”
“But the truth is, I have my own insecurities too, especially my stretch marks. If you noticed, I haven't been wearing mini skirts or dresses sa pictures because I'm still learning to feel confident in my new body,” she wrote.
Furthermore, Bea advised fellow mothers to practice self-compassion and patience during their recovery process while their bodies navigate this new chapter of motherhood.
She further stated that it is perfectly acceptable for mothers to feel out of place or to struggle with adjustments during this period, emphasizing that these sacrifices are made for their children and are a source of pride.
“And I just wanna say this to every mom out there, please be gentle with yourself. our bodies went through so much to bring life into this world. hindi pa tapos ang journey natin, and healing doesn't have a timeline,” Bea expressed.
She continued, “It's okay if you don't feel like yourself yet. It's okay if you're still adjusting. everything we went through and continue to go through is for our child, and that alone is something to be proud of.”
Recently, Bea welcomed her daughter, Victoria Hope, whom she fondly calls Pea, in December 2025.
