Para kina Boy Abunda at Bea Millan-Windorski, dapat ipagdiwang ang pagho-host ni Marina Summers, isang trans woman, ng Miss Universe Philippines.
Nitong nakaraang taon ay napuno ng kontrobersiya ang mundo ng pageantry, at tumuloy hanggang ngayon sa naganap kamakailan lang na Miss Universe Philippines. Isa sa mga kontrobersiyang pinagdaanan nito ang pag-host ni transwoman Marina Summers.
Sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda nitong Miyerkules, May 6, puro positibo ang naging komento ni Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski tungkol sa pagho-host ni Marina.
“She was nothing but professional and really stuck to the script of what Miss Universe Philippines expected of her,” sabi ni Bea.
Dagdag niya, “I really wanted to take a moment to commend that this was such a history-defining moment because Miss Universe Philippines is not only a pageant, it's a cultural institution here in the Philippines, and the fact that a transwoman was able to host with such beauty and grace.”
Para kay Bea, isang pagdiriwang ito para sa lahat ng trans brothers and sisters sa bansa.

Pinuri din ni King of Talk Boy Abunda ang pag-host ni Marina at sinabing “very good” ang ginawa nito, lalo na at aminado siyang mahirap mag-host ng malaking event katulad ng Miss Universe.
“One to ten, I give her an 8.5, 1.5 short of being perfect. I like the idea that she did it the way she wanted to do it. Her energy was just right, higher than Olivia Culpo, the first time that Olivia hosted Miss Universe,” sabi ni Boy.
Isa sa mga nagustuhan daw ng batikang host sa ipinakita ni Marina ay pinili niya itong gawin sa sarili niyang paraan, at hindi kopyahin ang mga naunang host sa kaniya.
“I'm not saying that the way others do it is wrong. Pero ang napakaganda kay Marina para sa akin, tama ang energy niya, she didn't scream, she didn't host it like a boxing match, she didn't host it like a mixed-martial arts championship, she didn't how it like a game show, she did it the way she wanted to do it,” sabi ni Boy.
Pagtatapos ni Boy, “She did the Q and A very well, and I just love the idea that a transwoman hosted Miss Universe Philippines.”
