It's been six months since Beatrice Luigi Gomez crowned her Miss Universe Philippines successor Celeste Cortesi, and now the beauty queen is feeling nostalgic as she celebrates the anniversary of her own crowning.
In the latest post on her Instagram account, Beatrice shared a photo of her and fellow Miss Universe Philippines winners Katarina Dimaranan, Victoria Velasquez Vincent, Maureen Wroblewitz, and Steffi Rose Aberasturi.
She described the coronation as a “joyous moment” as well as the time when she freed herself from worries and just “enjoyed the whole experience.” She then ended the caption by writing that she would “forever cherish this memory” and the people who were part of it.
Her time as Miss Universe Philippines may be over, but Beatrice certainly made the most of her tenure. During her reign, Beatrice was one of the many celebrities spearheading relief efforts for those who were affected by Typhoon Odette and other calamities.
Back in January, Beatrice conducted relief operations for victims of a fire in Mantayog, Mandaue. In the same month, she also conducted relief operations for victims of Typhoon Odette in Compostela, Cebu.
Beatrice has also continued to advocate for causes close to her heart, as well as to be lauded for her interests outside of pageantry. A month before Pride, Beatrice took part in an anti-discrimination initiative organized by a life insurance company.
Beatrice has also gone to acquire her Mass Communication degree as well as speak in front of the Philippine Navy as part of the Philippine Navy's NAVSTRAP 3 Strategy Execution.
