Ahtisa Manalo is hoping to bring back the country's first Miss Cosmo crown.
Filipino pageant fans are flexing their voting power to help the country's Miss Cosmo International bet cross a voting milestone in the international pageant.
In one of the more recent posts on their official Instagram account, The Miss Philippines organization trumpeted Ahtisa Manalo crossing the 1 million voting mark on the Miss Cosmo Social Ambassador voting challenge. In the caption to the post, the organization said that passing the milestone was a testament to the power of “Filipino Bayanihan Voting”.
The Miss Philippines first called on Filipino pageant fans to vote for Ahtisa last month, explaining that the winner of the round of voting will proceed to the next round where the Cosmo Social Ambassador winner will be picked. The organization also included instructions on how to vote for Ahtisa.
At the start of this month, The Miss Philippines then called on Filipino pageant fans to help Ahtisa cross the one million mark on the voting for the Cosmo Social Ambassador award. When they first posted about it, The Miss Philippines organization said that Ahtisa was at 687,000 votes.
Voting will go on until September 20, 2024.
Ahtisa was named the country's Miss Cosmo Philippines representative last May during the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. Chelsea Manalo won the Miss Universe Philippines crown, while the Miss Supranational Philippines crown was awarded to Tarah Valencia. Alexie Mae Brooks was named Miss Eco International Philippines while Cyrille Payumo was named Miss Charm Philippines.
Three months ago, Ahtisa visited Vietnam to attend the launch of the Miss Cosmo pageant, wearing a monochrome black outfit and posing with her luggage upon arrival.
The Miss Cosmo pageant will hold its coronation night on October 5, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
