
Binibining Pilipinas International Angelica Lopez ended her Miss International pageant journey out of the Top 20.
The pageant, which is currently ongoing at Tokyo Dome City Hall, did not include the Philippine delegate in its top 20, which featured the delegates from Cabo Verde, Venezuela, Indonesia, Ireland, Cuba, New Zealand, Taiwan, South Africa, Australia, Dominican Republic, Japan, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, South Sudan, Vietnam, Honduras, Mongolia, Bolivia, and Nigeria.
Angelica Lopez was hoping to bring another Miss International crown to the country, following previous wins by Kylie Versoza and Bea Santiago.
Less than a week ago, the Binibining Pilipinas organization posted Angelica's official swimsuit portrait for the Miss International pageant along with a call for votes on the Miss International app.
Angelica Lopez had a send-off arranged for her on October 24, set at the Quantum Skyview at the Gateway Mall 2. In the caption to the post announcing the send-off, the Binibining Pilipinas organization called on pageant fans to show their “love and support” as she represents the country.
Angelica Lopez represented Pampanga during the 2023 Binibining Pilipinas pageant. Anna Valencia Lakrini, meanwhile, was hailed as Binibining Pilipinas Globe in the 2023 pageant.
Myra Esguerra was crowned as Angelica's successor during the 2024 Binibining Pilipinas pageant. Myra will compete in the 2025 Miss International pageant.

Angelica was aiming to be the successor to current reigning Miss International Andrea Rubio, who bested more than 60 candidates to bring home the crown to Venezuela and who recently visiting the country to give Binibining Pilipinas candidates advice.
